I wanted to share a series that I have been working on which is inspired by the intertidal zone here on Hornby Island. For me this bit of the world where land and sea meet is endlessly fascinating and such a huge inspiration for my work. I've included a few photos in this short video of places that have inspired- I don't use these photos as a reference but I do try to capture the feeling of movement, power and calm that I feel in these places. These paintings will be available on my site for a short time before I submit them to an upcoming group show happening in mid November- I'll let you know more about that closer to the time.
